“When I stitched a blouse for my mom for the first time, and it fitted so well, I felt a kind of happiness that I have never experienced.” Said Shilpa, a 12^th graduate. She initially wanted to go for higher education but due to some reason her college form got cancelled.

But she never lost hope, and decided to learn stitching at Humankind under Project Saksham. Gradually she started enjoying stitching clothes and bags and many more things. After learning how to stitch, she has now started to teach at Humankind.

She also started to sell her handmade bags and other clothes, thus becoming financially independent. She is really thankful to Humankind and Grundfos for this amazing opportunity and plans to pursue this as her career.
