humankind is mainly working in the area of education for underprivileged children of the society, old age destitute, women and community members. We believe that education is the only way to break the vicious cycle of illiteracy. Our vision and mission can be summed up as 'Literacy for All'. humankind works to overcome the barriers that prevent children from breaking out of the poverty cycle. We also reach out to such students who are forced to discontinue their studies due to monetary constraints. We offer financial assistance to the students by meeting all their educational requirements.
By involving children and seeking their views at every stage of program design, implementation and evaluation, humankind ensures that children play an active role in their own growth. Across humankind's projects a common theme is participation and children having a voice of their own.
humankind runs various programs to work with children in difficult circumstances. These programs essentially focus on education, health care, nutrition and environment. We also run an initiative "Meal Deal" which provides monthly kitchen ration and personal care to neglected destitute, old age people who are living on their own. We also provide perspective building on care of old age people among the community. Emphasis is also on preventive measures like disaster preparedness, prevention of child labor, prevention and inclusion of HIV affected children, etc. The money that you contribute will go towards these programs.
humankind is very transparent in its work. To assure complete transparency to our donors/stakeholders you are free to check our accounts and/or visit programs. Accounts and programs are audited regularly and strict guidelines on finances are maintained as per the standards at all times.
